What We Do?

  • Estate Planning Estate planning is for everybody, not just those with high value estates. Estate planning may include a will, trust, guardian nominations as well as equally important documents such as powers of attorney for finances and healthcare, which are important if you are unable to communicate your wishes to your loved ones.
  • Probate Probate may be necessary if your loved one died with or without a will if their estate is valued over a certain dollar amount. We help clients navigate the probate process keeping them informed every step of the way.
  • Trust Administration If you are the Trustee and the trustmaker has passed away, we assist with administering the estate of the decedent to ensure debts are paid and assets are transferred to the beneficiaries in the Trust.
  • Real Property Deeds Our office assists with deed preparation. We handle pulling the most recent deed on file with the recorder's office, preparation of your new deed and other required documents, and recording with the proper County.

The Law Office of Jessica R. Ward focuses on providing an exceptional client experience. Jessica believes in providing high quality service, and taking the extra time to ensure clients are fully informed and leave with no question unanswered. Her goal is for her clients to leave her office feeling less overwhelmed and supported which helps alleviate the stress that can accompany this area of law.

Do I Need an Estate Plan?

  1. Do you have minor children? A guardianship nomination makes it known who will care for your children if something happens to you.
  2. Do you own real estate? Real estate in California is expensive, if you own property an estate plan is essential to protect your property.
  3. Do you have a Power of Attorney to handle your finances if you are incapacitated? Having a Power of Attorney for finances allows an agent you nominate to manage your finances if you are unable.
  4. Do you have a Living Will/Advance Healthcare Directive to carry out your medical wishes if you are incapacitated? An Advance Healthcare Directive allows you to nominate an agent to make health decisions on your behalf if you are unable to communicate your wishes.

If you answered YES to Question 1 or 2, and NO to Question 3 or 4, contact Jessica for a Free 30-Minute Consultation.
